Product description

Durapass.720 is special additives used to inhibit formation of rust during the process and after acid pickling of steel.

Application

  • Durapass.720 can be used in spray and dip applications.

Equipments

Tank can be fabricated from hard mild steel, or stainless
steel.

Process Sequences

  •  Phosphating with Duraphos products system or galvanizing process.
  •  DI Water Rinse
  •  Passivation with Durapass 712.
  •  Drying

Process Sequences

Replenishment

Add 1.5 kg of Durapass 720 per 1000 liters of working solution to increase the free alkalinity by one point.

Storage Information

Storage & Handling

Keep bags tightly closed. Keep bags in a cool, well-
ventilated area. Do not expose to direct sun.

Corrosive products keep away from Acids, alcoholic and oxidizing materials .Store in temperature not above 40oC.

Shelf Life
Two years from date of production if stored in normal
condition.

Woven polypropylene lined bags.

Durapass 720 is available in 25 Kg PP bags.

Reagents & Equipments

 0.1N Sulfuric acid

  •  phenolphthalein Indicator
  •  Conical Flask 250 ml.
  •  Burette 50 ml.
  •  10 ml Pipette.                                                                              Analysis “Free Alkalinity Points, FAP”
  • Take 10 ml of Durapass 720 working
    solution in a conical flask.
  •  Add few drops of phenolphthalein Indicator.
  •  Titrate the solution against 0.1N Sulfuric acid
  •  End point pink to colorless.
  •  Record mls used of Sulfuric acid used as 
     
  • Consumed mls will give FAP.
  •  Free alkaline points should be maintained
    between 2.0 to 5.0 points.
