CMC 2445 is a highly effective corrosion inhibitor organic amines based blend used to protect steam plant equipment and maintain reliable, efficient plant operations systems. Their proper use can provide increased corrosion protection not available through the use of inorganic chemicals alone.

Application

CMC 2445 provides complete corrosion protection used to elevate feed water and condensate pH in nearly all high-purity boiler feed water systems, condensate Line Treatments, Low-Pressure, medium and high-Pressure Evaporators in Heat Recovery Steam Generators.

Recommended Use Directions

  • The dosage depends on several system parameters (e.g. CO2 – content, steam pressure). The standard value for Concentration is: 10 – 15 g/t steam respectively 5 – 10 g/m³ boilers feed water. If the CO2 – content of steam is higher than 30 g/m³, it will be necessary to double the dosage. Generally a concentration of 5-g CMC 2445 per m³ steam is recommended for neutralization of each g/m³ carbon dioxide.
  • CMC 2445 is preferably added undiluted. It could also be diluted with demineralized water or condensate, if necessary. CMC 2445 is favourable added directly into the main steam tube (especially at a boiler pressure of < 5 bar) proportional to the amount of steam. A dosing into the boiler feed water is also possible.
  • The complete feeding equipment (containers, pumps, pipelines) must be made of alkaline resistant material.
  • CMC 2445 is intended for industrial use only.

Safety

Use only a dime-sized amount of CMC 2445 Supervise children while using the product; store it away from their reach. Upon contact with a person’s eyes, it can cause irritation. The eyes should be flushed out with water for at least 15 minutes, and if the irritation continues or increases, seek medical help.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry and good ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed after opening. Prevent direct sun light or ignition sources.
