CMC 5010 is used as a Descaler and rust remover for boiler water treatment system with a specially formulated in a liquid form based on a blend of acid cleaner, wetting agents and corrosion inhibitor.
CMC 5010 suitable for removal of calcium carbonate and magnesium salts as well as ferrous oxides from metal surfaces.

Application

CMC 5010 is used to remove lime scale, iron oxide and deposits from the boiler, evaporators, condensers, heaters and coolers.

Recommended Use Directions

For descaling boilers, heat exchangers etc.
Obtain a sample of the scale so that a bucket test can be carried out to ensure that the scale type is suitable for treatment using CMC 5010. Silica on its own will not be affected. At the same time assessment can be made of the concentration required in relation to the speed of clean necessary.
Use CMC 5010 at a 10% dilution in water for treating the system. Components which can be removed are soaked in CMC 5010 and rinsed off with water. Dilute CMC 5010 according to contamination and time permitted but a general guide for immersion is 1 part CMC 5010 with 2 parts water. Always thoroughly rinse cleaned components and treat with
a suitable rust preventative if required.
NB okay for glass lined boilers if sure not cracked, as product may lie in crevices. If unsure use inhibited Sulphamic Acid.
Steam cleaner descaling
Use CMC 5010 at a 10% dilution in water. Circulate around the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Run the machine cold.

Safety

Use only a dime-sized amount of CMC 5010 Supervise children while using the product; store it away from their reach. Upon contact with a person’s eyes, it can cause irritation. The eyes should be flushed out with water for at least 15 minutes, and if the irritation continues or increases, seek medical help.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry and good ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed after opening. Prevent direct sun light or ignition sources.
